Choose Your Voice is a bilingual antiracism and antisemitism educational program offered free of charge for all educators and schools across Canada. Since it was launched in 2005, it has reached over 2.4 million students in every province and territory. Having been distributed in the past in the form of a kit, the resource is now available at no charge online.

The program is curriculum-based for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 to teach them the dangers of stereotyping and to speak out against racism, bullying and all forms of discrimination. It meets Ontario curriculum requirements for Social Studies, History, Religion, English, French, Art, Music and Drama. It fits into our Safe School policies, Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy as well as anti-bullying programs.

In the 4 units, many topics are explored in depth such as the Aboriginal residential schools, the Chinese Head Tax, Japanese Internment Camps, the Holocaust, Homophobia, Rwandan Genocide, Antisemitism, Islamophobia, Real-World Heroes and more. When educators register, at no cost, they gain access to 26 fact sheets, lesson plans, rubrics, curriculum connections and the videos for each unit. Please visit:
