Hello fellow social science teachers! I hope that this note finds you well and that all of your classes are off to a good start. I am sure that at this point in time many of you are busy, as am I, trying to fine-tune (or completely redesign) some of your lessons. As you all know this is a process that is often quite fun, but it can also be very time consuming as we have to wade our way through an avalanche of materials before we finally find the one that will work for our class.
With this in mind, I would like to put forward a proposal. If you could provide me with a brief description of some of your favorite social science resources (e.g., youtube videos, movies, articles, websites, books) I will put together a series of “resource roundup” articles for Rapport. If this idea works we will all benefit as we will have a new set of rich, classroom tested materials at our disposal. However, this can only work if enough social science teachers buy-in. So please, take a few minutes to share. The descriptions do not need to be long. Just provide the basic bibliographic information someone else will need to find the resource and a few sentences describing the material.
