Conference 2021
The Association for Canadian Studies is pleased to partner with the Social Studies Educators Network of Canada (SSENC), the Manitoba Social Science Teachers Association (MSSTA), the Alberta Teachers’ Association Social Studies Council (ATASSC), the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) and Thinking Historically for Canada’s Future to present an online conference on October 21-23, 2021.
The theme for the Social Studies Educators Network of Canada Conference is Inquiry, Equity and Engagement. How do we provide a more inclusive curriculum? How are we engaging students in authentic inquiry? How are we responding to unprecedented challenges in education?
Join us this fall to collaborate and network across provinces.
The virtual conference will have both provincial, as well as a national scope and provide educators a unique opportunity to connect with history and social science teachers from across the country as we face the many challenges of teaching in the COVID-19 era.
The event will include two keynote speakers, over 40 sessions and presentations featuring teachers and leading academics, researchers, and others from NGO’s and educational organizations as well as an interactive virtual exhibitor room.
There will also be ample opportunity for discussion and questions and answers during the event. Presentations and resources from the conference will be made available to all delegates after the conference. Registration is $30 for delegates.
