Supporting English Language Learners (ELLs) in the Canadian and World Studies/Social Sciences Classroom

ELL populations in schools will continue to grow. Therefore, be prepared for today and the future. The goal in this session is to deepen your understanding of teaching English Language Learners in the Canadian and World Studies/Social Sciences courses. Participants will leave the session with: The ability to create learning opportunities that are practical and relevant for English language learners; Some practical strategies to use in your classroom to address ELLs’ needs; The knowledge of current resources and documents to support ELLs in the classroom.
