Connect and Inquire with Voting Rights Through Time

How inclusive is our democracy? That is the inquiry question students explore in Voting Rights Through Time, a free resource from Elections Canada. In this hands-on activity, participants will examine historical case studies of voting rights of First Nations Peoples, Inuit, Japanese Canadians, women, and youth. The activity features a timeline tool for students to engage in historical thinking. The resource is available in French, English and a language learner version that supports all learners connect and collaborate.
