Welcome to Rapport's May/June "edition". I hope you have been pleased with Rapport's blog so far. There are many ways you can get involved. I can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you'd like to contribute or comment.

  • I'm enjoying this amazing opportunity to connect with teachers from across the province. If you'd like to contribute or suggest a topic, please email me. I am particularly keen on getting more French language content.
  • It has been very interesting and informative to "meet" the people I've profiled in Doing History. If you have any suggestions (for people working in history but not as history teachers) that I should contact, please email me.
  • If you are reading a book that's relevant to history and/or social science, please take a photo of yourself with the book and send it to me with a short description (or a full book review if you wish).
  • Would your students like to contribute to Rapport? They could tell us what they're reading, what they enjoy about their courses, special projects they're working on, etc. Please encourage them to contact me.
  • I am seeking ongoing contributions on Reconciliation, inquiry best practices, favourite field trips and museum exhibits, and civics engagement strategies.

Last but not least, keep in mind that OHASSTA's annual conference will be held in Ottawa on November 16 and 17, 2017. Save the date! It is an amazing PD opportunity.

Thanks,

Risa
